Please note the following important information with regards to next weekend London Open at the London Aquatic Centre.
- The car park is completely closed and there are therefore no spaces for parking. The nearest Car Park is at Westfield in Car Park B which costs £9.50 per day.
- Spectators are not permitted to bring any food/drinks/refreshments into the facility. Only refreshments that have been purchased on site may be consumed in the spectators’ seating areas.
- The permitted use of devices which capture still or moving images is no longer dependent upon pre-registration. However, flash photography remains prohibited at all times. Anyone who attends must have a clear understanding of their responsibilities and obligations as detailed in the “ASA Photography Guidance” section of Wavepower 2016-19 (the current ASA Child Safeguarding Policies and Procedures publication).
A big squad of 21 Redbridge swimmers will be travelling to East Ham Leisure Centre on 4 June to take part in NUEL SC’s Invitational Meet. A list of accepted entries can be found here.
The Jack Petchey Foundation has supported the club for many years providing regular achievement awards for our swimmers and annual celebration events. They are interested in finding out local young people’s views about the forthcoming election through a special online survey for those aged 11 to 17. It only takes 2 minutes to fill in including a few questions about the election and whether they think the voting age should be lowered to 16.
As an incentive, anyone who completes the survey will be put into a draw to win an iPad Mini2.
You can take part by going to: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/Y8QGGBW. As with the general election polling stations, the survey closes at 10pm on Thursday 8th June.
Mahran is the latest swimmer to receive an ASA Award through our Learn to Swim programme. He achieved Stage 1 and was awarded his certificate last Sunday.
