Just a reminder that the LBRSC Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place this evening (Wednesday 12th July) at 6.30pm in the Sam Ryan Room on the Ground Floor of Fullwell Cross Leisure Centre. This is an opportunity for parents, carers and others involved in the club to have your say in how the swimming club is run, be given an update on our performance and finances over the last 12 months and decide who will represent you on the Club Committee.
As ever we are on the look out for new Committee members. Whether you are interested in joining to the Committee or just want to know more about what is happening in your Club, please join us this evening.
Making extra fast progress in our Learn to Swim programme is Amelia. Not content with achieving the Duckling Award Grade 2 in May she followed this up with Grade 3 in June. Great swimming Amelia!

Well done to Muhammad and Yoanna, two of our latest successes at LBRSC’s Learn to Swim programme. Muhammad was recently awarded his Level 5 Learn to Swim certificate while Yoanna achieved Level 2.
Mia is the club’s most recent Jack Petchey Achievement Award winner.
Fast-improving Mia made a big impression in her first year of competing in the recent Essex County Age Group Championships.
A date or two for your diaries: the weekend of the 25 and 26 March 2017.
This is when the London Borough of Redbridge SC host their Regional Qualifier meet at Fullwell Cross. The Promoter’s Conditions, Meet Criteria and Qualifying Times are now on the website here.
Please note that the first warm-up (boys) will now start at 1:15 with events resuming from 2:25pm.
A number of changes have been made to training session times for the A, B and Academy squads. The full timetable can be found here.
Occasionally the schedule is subject to change. Coaches will try to alert swimmers and parents as soon as they become aware of any changes. A good way of keeping informed is by following the club’s Twitter feed (@swimredbridge). We will also be experimenting with WhatsApp groups for the different squads.
Please note that we aim to ensure that there is time for at least 10 minutes pre-swim work and 10 minutes of stretching at the end of every session so try to be at the various pools in time for this important part of training.
London Borough of Redbridge SC’s Learn to Swim team are on the look out for more, committed swimming teachers to help provide high quality swimming lessons in various locations around the borough.
If you have a Level 1 or Level 2 ASA Certificate and would be interested in teaching on our successful and ever-growing programme, please contact us on this address: email@example.com
You can find out more about becoming a swimming teacher here.
We’ve received a tip-off to say that many of our swimmers were spotted doing very well in Wanstead Park yesterday at the Year 7 Cross Country Competition.
Four of our swimmers were in the top 12 out of approximately 120 runners in the girls’ event including Shareen , Tunmise, Elizabeth and Clara.
Well Done All!!
