Late Summer Award Winners

Well done to the following 12 swimmers who have been awarded with numerous certificates over the past few weeks. Keshuv, Arda, Toure, Kausimaye, Ellie, Dylan, Jenica, Jevin, Larna, Muhammad, Mahran, Eliza, and Riaz are all making excellent progress as they Learn to Swim.


Kieran’s Turkish Adventure

London Borough of Redbridge’s Kieran Holdbrook had a busy summer representing Great Britain in the 23rd Summer Deaflympics. The event took place in Samsun, Turkey in July. His performances culminated by finishing as 5th in the final of 400m Individual Medley with a total of 16 seconds improvement on his previous personal best time.

Well done Ellie Grant, GOLD MEDALIST this evening at the English National Championships. Ellie finished first with a personal best time in the 200m breastroke.

Summer Swim Training (Update)

Following the previous announcement that there will be no more training sessions after 13th August inclusive, here are initial details of the training schedule for the three weeks from Monday 14th August:

A and B squads and Masters
Training will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 05:30 – 07:30 and on Saturdays, 05:30 – 08:00

A and B squads and Academy (aged 8+)
Training will take place as follows:

Mondays 18:00 – 20:00
Wednesdays 18:30 – 20:45
Fridays 18:00 – 20:00

CD & Masters:
Mondays 20:00-21:00
Fridays 20:00-21:15

Summer Swim Training

After today’s training (Monday 31st July), there will be no more swim sessions  from Tuesday 1st to Sunday the 13th August inclusive.
Training will start again on Monday 14th August. From then until 3rd September there will be a restricted timetable with all training at Fullwelll Cross and no sessions at Caterham. This timetable will be confirmed in due course.

More Learn to Swim success

Well done to and Dean and Darcey, two members of our Learn to Swim programme who have recently made big progress with their swimming. Both Dean and Darcey passed their Stage 1 Learn to Swim Awards while Darcey also achieved the 5 metres Rainbow Award.

Three more Learn to Swim Stars

Not a week goes by now without emerging swim stars of the future leaving their Learn to Swim sessions with certificates. This week’s awards went to Skylar (Duckling Grade 2), Aanya and Keshuv (both Learn to Swim Grade 3). Well done all!
